Threading is a popular and proven method for skincare where the unwanted hairs of eyebrows and other areas of the face are removed safely and effectively. In this ancient hair removal technique, 100% cotton thread is applied to remove hairs. Because no chemical is used in this method, it is right for almost all skin types.

While applying for eyebrows, threading is the best way to create a great shape and definition with maximum details such as raising the arch of the brow, adding shapes or eliminating the unibrow. If your skin is chemical or waxing sensitive, threading is the right way for hair removal without getting the skin red, irritated or peeling off the layer. Along with eyebrows, facial threading includes removing hairs from upper lip, chin, forehead, sideburns and neck.

Here is some basic information about threading that you should be aware of:

  • Threading is the safest and most suitable for all skin types.
  • The frequency of facial threading depends upon the type, texture and density of the hairs of the specific areas of the face. Usually, we recommend having a gap of 3-4 weeks between two threading sessions.
  • Avoid immediate bleaching after threading; you can go with bleaching and facial first and then threading which will eventually smooth the hairs for easier removal.
  • Avoid any kind of heat treatment on the skin for at least 6 hours after threading. This includes heat-vapor facial, spa treatment, steam bath or even hot shower.
  • Avoid applying exfoliating cream or solution as the chemical contains may react with the post-threading sensitive skin.
  • For soothing skin as the post threading care, we suggest applying aloe vera, ice cube or ice pack on the skin, whichever suits your skin.
